A few days ago, a three-Test series was played between India and South Africa. In which the Indian team defeated South Africa 3–0. This was the first time the Indian team had made a clean sweep against South Africa in any Test. The Indian team is currently the number one team in the ICC Test rankings and after defeating South Africa, there was a discussion about whether it is Virat Kohli's captaincy team India is the best team ever.
In this case, now one of the finest opening batsmen in the world, former captain of South Africa team Hashim Amla has said a big thing. Hashim Amla retired from international cricket in the recently concluded ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. He said that Virat's current team is better. But this team should not be compared to the old team.
The former South African captain said,
"I have played against the Indian team in the presence of Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman and Virender Sehwag." No such batting order can be found anywhere in the world. Currently, Team India is doing well and is a very balanced team. But it was more difficult to play against Team India in the presence of those players.
Hashim Amla further said that the team had legendary bowlers like Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh. I have played against many great cricketers. But after a decade, I don't think we can ever compare two teams. On the current performance of South Africa, Hashim Amla said that the ups and downs are a part of the game and after a bad tour ends we should take our responsibility that yes we did not play well.
Hashim Amla said - It was very difficult to play against India in the presence of these players!
