1. Brendan Taylor
Former wicketkeeper batsman Zimbabwe's Brendon Taylor was contracted with Nottinghamshire under the Kölpack deal in County Cricket. Because of that, he got forced retirement from international cricket in 2015. After the contract ended, he returned to the national team at the age of 31. Brendan Ross Murray Taylor is a Zimbabwean international cricketer, and a former Zimbabwean captain, who plays all formats of the game. Taylor is a right-handed batsman but is also a part-time wicketkeeper and off spinner.

Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi took retirement many times. Sahibzada Mohammad Shahid Khan Afridi, popularly known as Boom Boom, is a Pakistani cricketer and former captain of the Pakistan national cricket team.  He first retired in 2010. After that, he returned and once again retired in 2011. After which he returned again. Eventually, in the year 2016, he took complete renunciation.

3. Imran Khan:
Former Pakistan captain Imran Khan had said goodbye to cricket after the 1987 World Cup. Later, he returned to Pakistan on the request of the then President of Pakistan Jia-ul-Haq in 1992, and for the first time in his captaincy, the World Cup trophy was awarded.

4. Carl Hooper:
West Indian legend batsman Carl took a sudden retirement after the World Cup in 1999. Carl Llewellyn Hooper is a former West Indian cricket player and a former captain of Tests and ODIs.  After this, he again made a comeback in international cricket in 2001, and by the year 2003, he was also the captain of the team.

Mohammad Javed Miandad, popularly known as Javed Miandad, is a Pakistani cricket coach, commentator and former cricketer known for his unconventional style of captaincy and batting. He played for Pakistan in Tests and One-Day Internationals between 1975 and 1996 Miandad retired before the 1996 World Cup. But after 10 days after the then Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto said, he would return.
